Ok, here i go. I haven't had a blog since college, so this should be interesting. A girlfriend of mine started one, and it seems like a fun idea, something to pass the time. I am already a pretty avid journal writer, so this should be easy.
I'm getting married this coming February, we are in a good place as far as planning.....almost 7 months to go! Time is flying by.. I remember when we had 14 months, time just flies. Most people ask "why a winter wedding", i feel like they really want to say "are you freaking crazy?!?" and the answer is yes. The day we decided we wanted a winter wedding we were downtown by Mears Park and it was snowing and it was beautiful. It might have been damn cold outside, but the snow is pretty and it may be a chilly day when we get married, but It WONT be 90 degrees and humid as crap.. which is part of winters appeal.
I can't wait to get married, it's a new feeling for me because i never actually thought i would get married, but once I met my match it was obvious that we were meant to be together. Even 2 years later everything feels fresh and new and i couldn't ask for anything more. I never thought I would find my actual other half.
After the first week of us being together my mom was talking about platos symposium in which it is stated that Zeus took one person and cut them in half so they were constantly searching for their other half.. and when that other half was found for reasons unknown both people were happy, and in love and desired this other person and did not know why. There is no rhyme or reason to the chemistry, it's just there and boy is it intense. That's EXACTLY what happened. Opposites attract i guess... But sometimes you learn that opposites really are not as opposite as they may seem. And that's exactly what you need to balance a relationship.
